Mission

Statement of Faith| Song | Video Presentation

Our mission is to serve those in full time Christian ministry by providing a quiet place for spiritual, physical, and relational renewal that compels all participants to love God and His people more each day.

Understanding the stresses and challenges full time ministry places on individuals, AQP offers guests a place to nurture and strengthen their relationships with Jesus Christ in a non-pressured environment.

According to surveys from Barna Research, Focus on the Family, Fuller Institute of Growth, and 1992 Leadership Magazine, those in full time ministry are facing significant challenges that are jeopardizing God’s intended ministry through His servants.

Many Christian leaders are

Weary

  • 94% of pastors feel pressured to have the “ideal family.”

  • 80% of pastors believe that pastoral ministry negatively affects their family.

  • 50% feel unable to meet the demands of their job.

  • 40% report a serious conflict with a parishioner at least once a month.

  • Most leaders struggle with balancing family lives and ministry responsibilities.

  • 81% feel they have insufficient time with their spouse.

  • More than one half of ministry wives report severe depression.

  • 1,500 pastors leave the pastorate each month (20% never return).

Burdened

  • 40% of pastors in the ministry today will not be in ministry 10 years from now.

  • Over half of pastors do not have a regular prayer partner, often due to lack of time and shallow trust levels with other clergy.

  • 70% do not have someone they consider a close friend.

Statement of Faith

"We believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, infallible in all matters of faith and practice. From the Word, we believe in One God, eternally existent in the three persons of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

In the beginning, people were created in God’s image for the purpose of glorifying, enjoying, serving, and being in a loving relationship with God forever. Through the sin of disobedience, however, men and women have destroyed this relationship with God and are condemned to death and eternal separation from God.

Yet, because of His gracious and merciful love, God the Father sent into the world His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for our sin. With loving obedience, Jesus paid that penalty when His blood was shed on a cross at Calvary. Three days after His death, Jesus physically rose from the dead before ascending into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. All who turn from their sins and choose to follow Christ as their personal Lord and Savior are forgiven their sins and given new and eternal life.

With this choice, believers are blessed with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who works daily to transform our lives into the likeness of our Savior—as we draw closer to both God and one another. Our developing relationship with one another is demonstrated through prayerful intercessio
n and concrete acts of love, encouragement, sacrifice, and support.

The primary purpose of A Quiet Place is to demonstrate this love towards those engaged in full-time ministry."

"A Quiet Place"

Listen to the Song, "A Quiet Place" 5:15  (7.3MB mp3)

When the enemy invades my peace
And I find that I need rest,
Battle weary I trudge along
And my faith’s put to the test.
I long for a quiet place
Where chaos does not reign,
Someone to bring serenity
And peace to my life.
My God’s in that quiet place
Where my strength can be renewed.
Come to that quiet place
Where He heals me and you.
When my spirit’s dull and dry
And courage needs to be restored,
When the condition of my soul is weak
And I’m longing for so much more

I long for a quiet place
Where chaos does not reign,
Someone to bring serenity
And peace to my life.
My God’s in that quiet place
Where my strength can be renewed.
Come to that quiet place
Where he heals me and you.
